saturday.

phew what a day. my mom and i went to dixie outlet mall in search of some winter boots. i hadn't been to that mall in years, literally. i heard it was redone and that it was really quite nice now. we entered the mall at 11am and left two hours later with a pair of winter boots as well as a medley of pants and shirts. how can you resist when one shirt is $5 and a pair of pants $10???? come on! i was thinking that i shouldn't have brought home any clothes from kingston at all! but who knew???

we came home and began our cooking extravaganza. curry galore. i definitely can't wait until tomorrow. i call it 'throwback to trinidad sunday'. after we cooked all our curried meats, it was on to pies and cheesecake. i peeled and cut up the apples, then made the filling (with the help of mom of course). we then moved on to our cheesecake -- peach cheesecake. it was a new recipe, never tried before in the ramcharan household, but let me tell you, i think it's a winner. finally, we rounded off the whirlwind tour of cooking with some pie pastry. i observed as mom made the pastry, then i helped roll it out. tomorrow, the pies will be assembled and baked, so we can enjoy fresh *hot* pies after our 'throwback to trinidad sunday'. mm mm good. being at home is great :)

aiight well i gotta go clean up and take a shower so i can enjoy the rest of the evening. more tales from 605 inverhouse coming your way.
